I've just completed a three day document examination course for work. I loved it. I've only just returned from leave, so it seems a little strange to say that it was great getting away from the office.. but it really was :-)

I loved the fact that classes didn't start until 9:00 - it actually resulted in me taking my time in the morning, and actually eating something before I left the house. I have not done that in a long time (on a workday at least). It was also great to catch up with people from other sections that I hadn't seen in a while. Prime example - Matt. I had a great time discussing all manner of topics with him during our breaks.

The course itself was great as well. I've learnt so much about the paper, binding, printing and issuing processes of passports, as well as the security features associated with each process that I just cant wait to use my new knowledge at the counter soon. I cant wait to bust someone using a counterfeit or forged document :-)

Further to this - I should be going on a three week training course in late Feb. Its part of the compliance collage. They are yet to decide where that training is to be held, but it is likely to be Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.... I shall wait and see.
